Hello, welcome to the Goth Taco Archive. On this website we have preserved bits of the blog, Goth Taco Explores, that was decently popular in the early 2000s. I would appreciate it if anyone else remembers anything about them or has anything saved that they email me at the address below on the page.

Goth Taco Explores was a blog that was started in early 2006 by GothTacoX3, also known as Penelope G Tanner. She was known for her explorations and photos/videos of abandoned and derelict buildings. The blog was run pretty consistently for months until one of her last posts around mid 2006.

Near the end of the blogs lifespan, Penelope had talked about being stalked by a now deleted user. It is unclear how long they talked but from screenshots of emails she posted it seemed to have lasted a month or two. It is seen in these blogs that she was directed by said user to explore an area that they noted was close to where she lived. How the user also got her location is also unclear.

In her last blog post she announced that she was going to visit the described location but would tell a trusted individual where she was going. Unfortunately even with the precaution she took, she was reported missing the following day. It was believed that the user she was in contact with was the main suspect. But unfortunately being that the person had no online presence other than the email they used, any attempt to find this person was unsuccessful.

Police and many people of the community attempted to search the last known location of Penelope but no solid evidence was found. She had gone in search of the old R. Labs facility in that area. Unfortunately the police called off the search after a hole in the fence was found and it was suspected that she could have also gone inside. The area was still too unsafe for people that there wasnt anything else they could do.

As for the blog itself, it didnt stay up for much longer. Her father had moved out of town after the loss of his daughter and stopped paying for the blog and hence it had shut down. Every post that is currently available is up because of the work of our team searching for anything archived.

We hope that through this, people can learn more about Penelope and her story. Urban exploration is still a big hobby as of today, but it is important to keep yourself safe if you ever choose to do so. Never go to abandoned places alone and never ever trust sketchy online people who tell you to go anywhere alone. Keep yourself safe and enjoy the archive!

HUGE UPDATE!!!!! The team and I have decided that due to the date of Penelopes disappearance is coming up that we are going to take a trip over to her last known location to document what she was unable to. We hope to update everyone on this soon!!!
